The foundation without which good content stays hidden

There is no point writing fifty articles if search engines cannot reach half of them, or reach them and see duplicates, or reach them three weeks late. Technical SEO is making sure what you built can be reached, read and understood, before any conversation about keywords.

The audit

What we examine in a technical audit

In a report ranking problems by impact.

Crawling and indexing

  • Important pages accidentally blocked from crawling
  • Indexed pages that should not be indexed
  • Duplicate content with no canonical defined
  • Redirect chains and broken links
  • A sitemap and robots file that contradict each other

Performance and structure

  • Core Web Vitals measured on mobile
  • Resources blocking the page from rendering
  • Images larger than the screen ever needs
  • Structured data missing or containing errors
  • An internal link structure leaving pages orphaned

Prioritising

Not every technical problem deserves fixing

Audit tools produce hundreds of warnings, and most have no effect on your rankings. The skill is not finding problems, it is knowing which deserve your developers' time. We rank them by impact against effort.

How we rank the fixes

What blocks indexing of revenue pages
What slows your most visited pages
What creates duplication splitting link equity
What prevents rich results appearing
What can be fixed once across the whole site
What can be ignored with no real cost

Priority

How we order hundreds of warnings

Three tiers, executed in this sequence.

Blocks visibility outright

A page closed to crawling or carrying a noindex tag: minutes to fix and immediate in effect.

Splits the site’s strength

Duplicates and multiple URLs for one piece of content, dividing signals between pages instead of pooling them.

Improves but opens nothing

Performance and markup refinements that follow the first two, some of which are not worth your developer’s time.

Questions

About the technical audit

How long does an audit take?
Days for a mid-sized site, longer for large sites or stores with thousands of pages. You receive a report that you own and can implement with your own team or with us.
Do you implement the fixes or only deliver the report?
Both are available. We implement directly if we have access, or hand over a clear task list your developer can act on without needing it translated.
Our site is on a closed platform.
We work within the platform's limits and tell you honestly what cannot be fixed there, so you can judge whether that constraint is worth moving away from.
